The StrathAyr Track is designed for all weather conditions. We custom-design each track’s drainage system to cope with local climatic conditions, which helps to prevent track closures due to weather.

LONGER LIFE

StrathAyr tracks are made with ReFlex® mesh elements, which help the turf to resist compaction and provides a greater extended life of the rootzone profile, meaning turf is healthier, recovers from damage faster and looks thick and lush year-round.

MORE RACING

Because a StrathAyr track has high load bearing capabilities, a quality drainage system and can cope with all weather conditions, it resists damage better and recovers faster. This means tracks can be used more and maintenance costs are reduced.

TRACK MANAGEMENT

We lay a track that is resilient and damage resistant. Moonee Valley Racecourse records show the StrathAyr Track System requires less irrigation and has a lower maintenance cost than conventional racing grass turf profiles.

COST-EFFECTIVE RACING

The StrathAyr Track System is significantly more cost-effective than other natural grass turf constructions. A StrathAyr track profile has an indefinite lifespan, requires less repairs, lower maintenance costs, excellent drainage in wet weather conditions and provides greater usage as a result.

SAFER RACING

ReFlex® mesh technology ensures our tracks have greater surface uniformity and cushion impact, lowering injury potential for both horses and jockeys. In over 20 years of racing there has never been a Fast rating on any of the ReFlex® tracks.

The unique application of ReFlex® mesh elements provides the load bearing capability of a secondary bitumen road. This enables horses, trucks and turf equipment to travel over the surface in all weather conditions without damaging the turf.

SPORTS FIELD CONSTRUCTION

The StrathAyr Sports Field System is the product of over 20 years worth of experience and research into providing the best possible grass turf for sporting stadiums. The durable profile creates a hard-wearing natural grass surface that provides an even and well-cushioned area, increasing safety and performance of players.

We begin with an expertly designed drainage system, usually consisting of gravel and pipes, topped with a layer of sand. Above this is the upper rootzone reinforced with ReFlex® mesh elements which creates a resilient and durable profile appropriate for all types of sports. Because we prepare our Sports grounds with care and expertise, our turf installations have an unparalleled surface strength, outstanding drainage capabilities and a grass surface that is extremely resistant to usage or weather damage. This allows for more usage over a longer period of time for sports and events with a high volume of foot traffic such as concerts and festivals.

Local climate dictates the build of each project’s drainage system so that your sports field will not be damaged or need to close due to weather conditions. We also choose turf varieties that will continue to thrive while reducing water consumption and maintenance costs.

LASTS LONGER

ReFlex® mesh elements extend the life of the rootzone profile, creating compaction resistance for a long-lasting sports turf. The ReFlex mesh elements help to protect the rootzone by distributing load horizontally across the surface area, rather than allowing it to compact down into the roots, causing damage.

READY TO PLAY TURF

StrathAyr MegAyr Turf is a turf replacement products that can be used to increase the usage capability of existing surfaces and to reduce the construction time required for new facilities.

This incorporates ReFlex ® mesh elements to provide remarkable strength and improved grass growth. A nursery stock of these products can be held as insurance against usage damage.

MegAyr Turf is an extremely strong and durable roll out turf product that provides an efficient and cost effective solution for repair of sportsfields, racetracks and high use amenity areas.The turf rolls are 50mm deep and comprised of ReFlex® mesh elements, sand, peat moss and BAyr Root turf. It is supplied in large rolls and easily installed with conventional machinery. The repaired surface can be used immediately for football and rugby codes and within 3 weeks for horse racing.

HIGH TRAFFIC TURF TECHNOLOGY

Netpave is a porous pavement solution that is used to provide structure and strength to grass surfaces to ensure they resist surface damage and root compaction under stress from heavy loads such as cars and equipment.

NETPAVE 25

Netpave 25 is simply laid onto the grass surface and is immediately ready to be used, no excavation or special equipment required. This porous pavement product can be used to provide better traction for vehicles on grass and strengthen the surface against damage.

Netpave 25 is extremely flexible and provides an attractive and stable structure, through which grass can be grown. Being only 25mm thick, Netpave 25 will be almost invisible after 2-3 months of turf growth.

Because of its protective capability, Netpave 25 is ideal for use in turf carparking areas and areas that receive a high amount of foot traffic.

NETPAVE 50

Netpave 50 is a more heavy-duty solution, suitable for car parks, pathways and access routes. To install, sites must be first excavated and a sub-base installed. Netpave 50 is simple to use and install with units connected by lugs and slots. Netpave 50 can be laid on uneven and steep surfaces, without it breaking up.

For best results, Netpave 50 can be filled with gravel or loam, which will stay inside the cells and not migrate. Once Netpave 50 is filled with loam and seeding with grass, the area can be used to bear heavy loads and high foot traffic, without the risk of damage.

Netlon® mesh elements

Netlon® mesh elements are the natural solution for overflow car parking, fire access roads and high-use amenity areas. When Netlon® mesh elements – 50mm by 100mm pieces of flexible polypropylene mesh – are blended uniformly within a rootzone profile the mesh elements reinforce three dimensionally, acting like thousands of springs to improve load bearing ability and resistance to compaction.
